Japanese Self-Study Progress

Since October 8, 2011, I have started to formally learn Japanese on my own, not just to play Idolmaster, but for job opportunities and to become bilingual so I don’t look bad for only knowing just English. Keep in mind that while learning Hiragana and Katakana won’t be too difficult after repetition, Kanji, grammar and honorifics will be some of the difficult parts… but will become better after using it more often.

Tools & Resources used: Genki I & II Textbook (main), Remembering the Kana, Character Charts, Kanji Converter, Japanese Dictionary on Mac OS X, Anki (flash cards), Kim’s Guide to Learning Japanese (reference)
